Is there more you can do to reduce your electricity bill
than to, simply turn off the lights and live in the dark?
The answer, I’m happy to say is a resounding yes. Nowadays
most of our lives are so busy. As we have more demand on our time we look for ways
to create and save time so that when we are in our homes we can just relax and
finally enjoy our free time. As a result we’ve filled our homes with all sorts
of devices to make our lives more comfortable and convenient. Unfortunately
each of these devices, if not installed, set up or utilized in the correct way
or situation can create unnecessary power usage and lead to a higher than
necessary power bill.
With this in mind I’d like to welcome you to the 1st
sustainable living blog post. As a sustainable living consultant, I find myself
on a regular basis answering a lot of similar questions, around how to create a
more comfortable energy efficient home. In this column, in the coming weeks,
I’d like to share the answers that I have found with you, so that you might
live in a more simple energy efficient home that also puts less stress on your
hip pocket!
